|
2018 has been an amazing year for the $20 BOSS program at the College. With over 480 schools competing nationally with approximately 20,000 students involved, and more than 6000 entries judged, competition was fierce. We are excited to announce that the Year 10 class, had three significant wins in the competition,
• 3s Scents (Shania Beck, Sydney Davis & Summer Toke) – made amazing candles and were highly commended in the ‘Rookie Enterprise of the Year’ category, Years 10 to 12 • Essentially You (Gracie Fisher, Coco Shaw & Yen Tran Thi Hai) – made eco-friendly perfumes and were the State winners in the ‘Innovate like a Boss’ category, Years 10 to 12 • That’s Sew Crafty (Mikaela McAuliffe & Talisha Wells) - made beautiful environmentally friendly bags. Their business came 2nd in Australia, receiving a highly commended for $20 Boss Enterprise of the Year Award Years 10 to 12. All the students in the class should be commended for their work. A total of $1,300 was raised to donate to the Lions Club ‘Need for a Feed’ program to support the drought stricken farmers in NSW. Thank you to Mr Niemeyer for his guidance and dedication in supporting the students with the program. |
