Alexander Horan was a successful farmer and parishioner in both Geraldton and Northampton. He studied microbiology in his early life, before running the family farm. In his bequest he left funds to the College to support families who otherwise would not have been able to afford a Catholic education at Nagle Catholic College.
Purpose
This Bursary is provided to assist students, whose family circumstances would normally prevent them from attending the College.

Benefit
Depending upon individual circumstances, a student may receive support in one or more of the following areas for a specific period of time.
Families are eligible to re-apply for a continuation of a Bursary.

- Building Levy exemption
- Provision of uniform
- Provision of text books
- Provision of BYOD
- Subject fees exemption
- Tuition fee discount

- Boarding residential fee payment
Families are eligible to re-apply for a continuation of a Bursary.
Note 1: Payment of non-compulsory school activities is not included in any form in any Bursary.
Generally, applications need to be submitted to the College, with supporting documentation, by 31 August, in the preceding year.
